Dwight Howard is just not worth the attention he’s getting!

I think Dwight Howard is loving the attention and the teams floundering over him! I seriously don’t think he’s worth the money these teams are throwing at him. I think he’s mainly over-rated because the centers in this era suck!

But getting back to Dwight, he’s limited offensively especially in the post! If I am going to spend the kind of bread I see these teams are going to pay him, I at least want my center to be able score more than one way. In addition, I am not a fan of his defense. In my opinion, I think he is more an individual defender who excels mainly at shot blocking then overall team defense. With all those things being said, I understand why the Lakers need him to stay. They must keep the team viable for the next few years especially since Kobe is nearing retirement. However, I would not set up the fans thinking that Dwight is the next great Lakers’s center. Don’t get me wrong, I think he’s a very good player but not what the these teams are going to pay him!

I think Houston would be better fit for him. That team will not garner a lot of expectations from its fans and Dwight can go back to being like he was in Orlando. I think he would enjoy not seeing his name all over the papers when he has a lousy games or when the team isn’t winning. Even though I think the best situation for him is in Houston, I think the most entertaining situation for me would be in Dallas. I would love to see Mark Cuban over spend for him and get the same results his team had this year! Just imagine Dirk being in the “Kobe Bryant” position next year? Is he going to be able to babysit the “big man” when he’s struggling? I doubt it!
