Truly Crazy huh? I saw this while browsing the web today. A 56-year-old property developer in China paid a whopping $2 million for a Tibetan Mastiff at a pet fair on Tuesday! The Washington Post reported that the price set a new record! The previous record was a $1.6 million purchase of a red mastiff in 2011.
I would have trouble paying a few hundred bucks for a pet. I could never envision paying that kind of money for pet (lol). Maybe I am just saying hat because I would probably never have that kind of money! Believe it or not, the article pointed out that this is becoming like a new trend! They are calling this new trend with these astronomical prizes “luxury pets.” I was thinking to myself…yeah, only for EXTREMELY rich people lol!
Anyway, what do you think? Could you ever buy a pet for that sum of money if you had it?
